View of the Jardin de la Fontaine at Nîmes. A raised walkway, supported by rows of stone columns, surrounds a rectangular pool with a smaller rectangular island at the center. The island is covered with trees and features a stone statue of an urn with a laurel wreath and cherub in one corner. A stone balustrade surrounds the pool and the island, and lines each of the terraced levels of the garden. A small building is visible among the trees in the background.
