From the Getty Museum record
One of two tipped-in photographs illustrating a printed map of Cassington, Wytham, and the surrounding area along the River Thames. The photograph shows a view of the ivy-covered ruins of Godstow Abbey on the grassy riverbank. A fence cuts through the field around the ruins and runs into the water, passing beneath a large tree that grows on the riverbank. An animal, possibly a horse, grazes in the field next to the abbey.
