View inside the Malakoff after the French and British capture of the Malakoff and the Redan during the siege of Sevastopol. Cannons line the fortification on the left side of the image, in between stacked sandbags and wicker gabions that form dividers and create the walls of the fort. Debris covers the ground around the guns.
