A portrait of a young woman with a boy leaning on her. She is seated sideways in a chair. The woman wears a polka dotted dress and the young boy wears a suit with his hair combed and gelled. The child rests against her chest and is held closely to her by her arm. The original smooth nonpareil mat on the object suggests it dates the 1850s.
