From the Getty Museum record
Preserved is an over-life size portrait of an emperor. The man is aged with deep-set eyes, saggy cheeks, and wrinkles around the lips. There is much damage visible on this head. The nose is battered and broken, the lips are damaged and there are many scratches and missing areas on the cheeks. A bronze crown was once fixed at the nape of the neck and over the forehead, as indicated by the attachment hole on the crown of the head. Some scholars believe this may be a portrait of Emperor Galba (ruled A.D. 68 - A.D. 69) because of the older age of the figure.
