Apis bull statuette

Figure of Apis bull, striding with left legs forward. He has a solar disc between his horns, decorated with a detailed uraeus. The ears are protruding. A triangle is incised on the forehead. The bull has a collar consisting in a plain band. On the withers there is an incised winged solar disc: the plumage details are incised. On the rump, another winged figure (scarab or solar disc) is incised. On the back, between the two winged figures, a cloth is engraved, decorated a central band, the two lateral panels are decorated with a woven pattern and fringes. The tail is attached to the right hind leg and is slightly thicker towards the end, the fur details are incised. The figure rests on a thin base. A tenon projects down from the base, its section is irregular, almost rectangular. The object is made in the lost-wax technique for solid casts. Dimensions: 2 cm x 7.7 cm x 6 cm.
