Harpocrates statuette

Figure of Harpocrates, depicted in Hellenistic manner, standing, leaning against a tree trunk and holding a cornucopia. The god is depicted naked, with a stylised double crown on his head and the side-lock of youth on the right side of the head. The god has long, curly hair, represented in two rows at the back. The god has his right arm bent and brings his index finger to his mouth, while with his right arm he encircles a tree trunk and holds a cornucopia. A drape rests on the left shoulder. The leg muscles are modelled, the right leg is straight while the left is slightly bent. The figure rests on an oval base. The object is made in the lost-wax technique for solid casts.
