This print portrays Christ—with the twelve apostles—miraculously healing a group of lepers encountered on his way to Jerusalem. Andrea Andreani who, after 1599, acquired a number of the earlier blocks of artists like Vicentino and Ugo de Carpi. He published these as his own, reworking them in some cases and adding his initials, an in the CMA example.
