From the Cleveland Museum of Art record

This print is the right-hand sheet from a triptych depicting a famous Buddhist pilgrimage site in what is now Gunma prefecture. The women in the foreground observe men undergoing ritual purification by standing under a sacred waterfall. The full composition showed eight women and a child traversing a bridge before a panorama of the religious site. The Buddhist sculptures in the upper left corner of this print represent Fudo Myoo flanked by two child deities called Seitaka and Kongara.
