Yuan dynasty Shufu ware was a further development of the earlier qingbai ware and is characterized by a more heavily constructed body, opaque white glaze, molded decoration, and at times the inscription Shufu that gives the ware its name. Although lacking the inscription here, this bowl possesses the characteristics and decoration of Shufu pieces.
