Bindesboll trained as an architect but is best known as a designer of silver and ceramics. His earliest silver designs were executed by the Copenhagen firm of Michelsen. An artist of considerable originality, Bindesboll was a major figure in the history of modern European design whose work, unfortunately, remains little known outside his native Denmark.
