This large bowl with flaring sides is splashed with yellow, brown, and green pigments, which have run during the firing process, in imitation of Tang Chinese ceramics. Look closely: the bowl has incised decoration of a large palmette in the center and a split-leaf scroll pattern just inside the rim.
