Artemis of Ephesos standing facing front with fillets hanging from her arms; crescent above right and star above left, short groundline. There is a chip from the edge. The cult of Ephesian Artemis was one of the most popular and widespread in the imperial period. Gems depicting the distinctive statue are very common, as are statues in marble, bronze, and other materials.
