The band is made of partly gilt silver, and affixed to it is an elaborate decoration of schematized floral forms. The background sheet is plain except for a tongue pattern along the top and bottom edges (only partially preserved). Over this, top and bottom, is applied a triple row of overlapping cut-out laurel leaves (running rightward above, leftward below). On each laurel garland is superimposed a double row of small bud- or acorn-shaped finials pointing outward. Against the plain background of the middle zone five large bud-shaped finials alternate with stylized blossoms made in two layers, each with a smaller, pointed finial at its center. The band is fragmentary with areas of loss throughout.
