View of the Villa Montmorency community in Auteuil from across the intersection of the Boulevard de Montmorency and Grand-Rue, or present day Rue d'Auteuil, in the aftermath of the Paris Commune. A small bar situated on the far side of the intersection is surrounded on both sides by bricks from surrounding buildings that have been neatly stacked in small piles. The remains of other buildings line the streets in both directions.
