The fragment preserves a section from the figured zone of a very large band-cup. On the exterior, a departure scene. At the left edge of the fragment, a standing woman (only her raised left arm, most of the her torso and part of her legs remain). She wears a himation over a peplos, and gestures with her left hand. Behind her, a warrior (lower right leg missing) steps into a chariot to right. He wears a petasos and a cuirass over a short chiton, has a Boeotian shield on his back (blazon: balls), and two crossed baldrics over his cuirass. On the left sie of the team (and thus only partially visible), an old man stands to right and glances back. He wears a himation over a chiton, and carries a spear. Traces of the glazed zone above the figured band. Interior, black. Adapted from Clark, A., CVA Malibu 2 (1990).
