View of many blanket boats lashed together to create a raft floating on the Potomac River. Logs run over the top of the raft to create a platform, where a group of men stand around a cannon being transported across the river. Individual blanket boats rest along the riverbank, where sailing ships in the process of construction can be seen over a wooden fence.
