Obverse: Head of the nymph Arethusa, facing slightly to the left. Her hair is loose and she wears pendant earrings and a double necklace. Die flaw to left of face. Beaded border. Reverse: Bearded male head in profile to the right; he wears a crested Attic helmet with palmette decoration on the back and a plain visor. Inscribed in Aramaic in both fields; over the inscription in Aramaic, "TRKMW" [Tarkamuwa, or Datames] in the right field, a countermark of a walking steer. Beaded border.
