"From the factory to the merchant, from the merchant to the buyer of odds and ends, rise and fall. They seem to finish their life," reads a translation of the caption that appeared with this picture in *Vu* magazine in 1928. Here Germaine Krull successfully recorded the visual confusion of a flea market.
