From the Getty Museum record

Surrounded by architects and artists of enormous ego during her marriage to Bauhaus master László Moholy-Nagy, Lucia Moholy devotedly documented their buildings and works of art. In her portraiture, however, she exerted her own creative instincts. Her close-up portrait of the critic, art historian, and experimental photographer Franz Roh captured him with eyes closed, imbuing him with a modest, introspective, almost vulnerable appearance.
