Depicted on the body of this red-figure lekythos is a spotted feline (perhaps a leopard) leaping to the right over a curved tendril. The vessel has a flaring mouth, a flat shoulder and a strap handle. The disk foot has a deep groove near its upper edge. The neck, shoulder, and underside of the handle are left in reserve. The interior of the mouth is black. At the base of the neck and on the shoulder are short tongues. On the front of the body at the join with the neck is a dotted egg pattern between pairs of black lines. The lekythos is in very good condition with minimal abrasions. Adapted from R. Neer, CVA Malibu 7, 1997.
