Fragment from the tondo of a kylix depicting Dolon's capture (see main entry 90.AE.35 for further information). The fragment shows a frontal view of Dolon's head wearing the characteristic wolf skin. At left is the profile portrait of either Diomedes or Odysseus, the Greek heroes who capture the Trojan Dolon. Part of the petasos hat, usually worn by the Greek heroes in this type of scene, is visible at left, while shoulder folds of the traditional chlamys cape (belonging to the other captor) are visible on the right corner, above Dolon's wolf skin.
