The belt link (belonging with 83.AM.224) consists of a square setting containing a gold solidus of Valentinianus I (A.D. 364-375) issued in Nicomedia. The obverse image is a bust of the emperor wearing a beaded diadem. The reverse image is a standing emperor with vexillum and crowning Victory.
