Discus Iconography: Rosette of eight petals surrounded by two raised rings. Description: Moldmade, from plaster mold. Funnel-shaped handle. Oval elongated body. Convex shoulder with relief branch to which are attached eight fruits on each side, evenly distributed; ridge separating shoulder from discus and surrounding both discus and nozzle, leaving a straight channel. A hollow cylinder or socket runs through the center of the lamp. Its function was probably to affix the lamp to a stand. The funnel-shaped handle allowed oil to be poured into the lamp. Long nozzle with broad channel. Raised rounded base-ring connected to handle; half a branch incised on upper part of base.
