Upon Christ's triumphal entry into Jerusalem, one man greets him by spreading a garment on the ground while others strew boughs cut from trees along his path. Riding an ass while his disciples follow behind, Christ holds his hand up to bless those who have gathered to welcome him. This episode marks the beginning of Christ's Passion.
