An unidentified Old Testament prince or king sits in profile holding a long staff and wearing a pointed hat, underlining his similarity to Pontius Pilate, who appears with the same trappings in a similar position on the facing page. The prophet, standing before the throne to be judged, is bound in the same manner as Christ on the facing page.
