Kantharos with a tall foot and high upswinging handles. On both sides of the bowl, gilt garlands are suspended from bucrania with stars filling the spaces between the garlands. Below these, a wreath encircles the vessel and a running wave pattern marks the offset between the bowl and the calyx. Gilding is also used at the base of the handles. On one side of the rim, a gilt inscription dedicates the cup to Kastor and Polydeukes. Within the hollow lip are pellets that rattle whenever the cup is tilted. The cul is decorated with a ribbing pattern. The fillet between the bowl and the foot, a fillet on the stem, and narrow bands on the foot are reserved. Under the foot are alternately glazed and unglazed rings. There are traces of red, identified as cinnabar, on the unglazed rings.
