A silkscreen enlargement from a tintype depicting a self-portrait of Saye with her back turned towards the viewer. In her left hand, she holds a group of branches of the salvadora persica, a tree from which chewing sticks are taken, "sothiou" in her native Senegambian language of Wolof. She wears a patterned head scarf.
