This foot stool, part of a group with a seated poet, possibly Orpheus (76.AD.11.1), and two Sirens (76.AD.11.2 and 76.AD.11.3), consists of a rectangular slab with moldings and two lateral, rounded feet that terminate in four corbels. Traces of polychrome pigments are visible on the surface: sparse orange-gold on the upper surface and more on the sides, where some black pigment is also preserved. The poet's right foot rests on the foot stool, while only the tip of the left foot touches it. In 1983 exploratory cleaning revealed the presence of ancient footprints on the upper surface of the foot stool.
