View of the Place de la Porte Maillot in the aftermath of the Paris Commune. A small pile of bricks and a wooden cart stand in the square, and a large arch, possibly the Arc de Triomphe, can be seen in the distance. Damaged buildings can be seen on both sides of the street, some with scaffolding covering their facades, and piles of debris cover the ground where buildings once stood.
