From the Getty Museum record
Nine found photographs depicting groups of three women posing for the camera, dating to the 1940s - 1960s. These images by unknown makers were compiled and organized into a single work of art by Pine and Woods based on the strength of the subject's pose, gesture, expression and costume as well as the context presented, in order to create a typology that reflects reoccurring themes in American vernacular snapshots.
