Panel from a tomb wall painting. Two warriors with spears and shields engage one another in combat on a hilly landscape. The figure on the left is bearded and nude except for a thin red band around his waist. Spears puncture his shield and both legs, and he bleeds from the wounds. He holds a long spear in his right hand and guides it towards the other warrior. The youth on the right is beardless and wears a short garment with a thick belt, a red headdress, and shin guards. His left knee is pierced through by a spear and a second spear is about to puncture his left thigh. He holds a spear high as if about to throw it. The pair stand on an undulating groundline, especially under the youth, representing a hilly topography. Trees and plants complete the outdoor scene. The top of the panel has a broad border decorated with an olive branch.
