View of the Jantar Mantar Observatory at the Man Mahal, built by Raja Jai Singh II, and the Dashashvamedh Ghat on the banks of the Ganges River. Two figures sit in front of a stick hut at the top of the stone steps surrounded by bundles of wood that spread out around them and down several steps. Other people can be seen gathered at the bottom of the steps, along the riverbank, and in the water, engaging in activities of daily life.
