Print after a daguerreotype. Slightly elevated view of the Place de la Concorde in Paris, seen from the Quai d'Orsay. The Pont de la Concorde is visible in the foreground at image right. The Luxor obelisk stands tall at the center of the Place de la Concorde, framed on either side by the Fontaine des Mers and the Fontaine des Fleuves. The Hôtel de la Marine and the Hôtel de Crillon are visible on either side of the Rue Royale. Half of the façade of the Madeleine is visible down the Rue Royale. The skyline of Paris is visilbe on either side of the Place de la Concorde, with the windmills of Montmartre visible in the far distance.
