View of the smaller gateway at the Virupaksha Temple at the Hampi complex. The gateway is a five-story tower that narrows slightly towards the top. Each story features a rectangular doorway surrounded by an ornately carved frame that includes statues at the doorjambs. The exterior walls are covered with ornate carvings of geometric patterns, columns, and statues of Hindu gods.
