View of a section of the Shanghai Bund, as seen from an elevated vantage point. A number of western-style buildings line a wide thoroughfare that separate them from the river. Visible on the center right area is Shanghai's first Public Garden, now Huangpu Park, a fenced green space on the edge of the river. A pavilion with a conical roof can be seen in the garden. Also visible next to the garden is the obelisk-shaped memorial dedicated to the Ever Victorious Army.
