From the Getty Museum record
View of the monument to Giovanni Battista Piaggio at the Cimitaro Monumentale di Staglieno in Genoa. The stone monument features a woman looking down as she emerges from a doorway, holding a bible in one hand and wearing a headscarf and a cross around her neck. The steps leading to the doorway and the base of the monument are decorated with five medallions that lean upright against the stone, two on each side of the steps and one at the center of the first step.
