This applique from the lid of an Etruscan mirror is decorated with a figure of Dionysos (located in the center of the tondo) leaning on Eros to his left, who looks up toward the divinity. Dionysos holds a thyrsos in his left hand and is nude except for a chlamys, which is draped over his left shoulder. To the god's right stands a female playing the kithara (perhaps a Muse).
