Within the curling tendrils of an initial *D,* Christ extends a scroll to Zacchaeus. According to Saint Luke's gospel, Zacchaeus was a wealthy tax collector who climbed into a tree to catch a glimpse of Jesus as he entered Jericho. After meeting Jesus, he donated half his worldly goods to the poor.
