The bust-length image of the prophet Isaiah appears within the initial *D* that opens the Mass for the Nativity of John the Baptist. A prophecy of Isaiah inspired the text of the chant introduced by the initial, *De ventris matris mee vocavit me dominus* (The Lord called me from the womb of my mother).
