In the top register, angels kneel before the central enthroned figure. In the register below, the illuminator represented John's vision: "the four and twenty Elders fell down before him who sits on the throne, and adored him who lives for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying: 'You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory, and honor, and power." (Apocalypse 4:10 - 11)
