Portrait of a young girl wearing a long white dress standing at the end of a cement walkway in front of an old house. The straight walkway, which cuts across a ragged lawn covered with dead leaves, leads to a short set of wooden steps up to the open front door of the house. Both the girl and a person standing in the open doorway look straight at the camera. The house is small, with two front windows flanking the door and one on the second floor above it, and a wooden cellar door just next to the steps.
