In this image we have a clear view of the model’s body from the front along with a distorted view of her back side reflected in the mirror behind her. > > Kertész was hired in 1933 by the men's magazine *Le Sourire* to create a series of nude studies, using parabolic mirrors to exaggerate and condense different parts of the picture. These images came to be known as the Distortion series.
