A pendant is carved fully in the round in the shape of the head, forelegs, and upper trunk of a wild boar. The front legs are drawn up under the head in a recumbent pose, the ears lie flat, and along the back are vertical incised bristles of a mane. Although uncommon as a motif for jewelry, the boar occurs on several pendants and on decorative fibula bows.
