Group portrait of a number of men and women, with the women sitting on the ground in front of the men, posing in front of a "rumah gadang," the traditional residence of the Minangkabau people. It features a partially visible thatched roof and ornately decorated, paneled walls. Other people, mostly children, also look out of the house's windows.
