>No church or temple or sanctuary had ever captivated me like Amadeo's home. He sanctified his rooms with icons of apostles, saints, and family photographs. Harris's intense color photography reveals the harmonies of a sparsely furnished adobe room with softly washed blue walls and a large chair draped with brightly colored fabric beside a yellow vinyl kitchen seat.
