Fragment from side A of a black-figure Panathenaic amphora that preserves wing and body of a rooster. The standardized design of a Panathenaic amphora includes a helmeted Athena striding to the left in warlike attire flanked by Doric columns surmounted by roosters. This fragment likely came from the left side of the scene. The rooster faces right, and on the right, the edge of a round shape, possibly the shield of Athena, is partially preserved.
