Head of Apollo with his hair up in a knot and pulled back in a low bun. Thick locks of hair partially cover his ears, and strands extend from the nape of the neck. He wears a narrow headband that fully encircles his head. The nose is missing and the eye sockets, now empty, were originally inset. The lips are slightly parted and teeth are partly visible. The stylized hair is similar to the Apollo Belvedere type created by Leochares in the Hellenistic period.
