Obverse: Head of Ptolemy, in profile facing right. Reverse: Eagle, standing towards the left and holding a thunderbolt in its talons. By its right foot, an Isis headdress. Behind the eagle's back, a palm branch. Inscribed to the left of the eagle: ΛΓ [lambda gamma, which means it was minted in "year three" of the ruler's reign.] To right of the eagle: ΠΑ [Pi, alpha], an abbreviation to indicate its mint: Paphos, on Cyprus. Flat struck.
