This miniature focuses on the justness of God's judgment on the harlot of Babylon. Christ appears in a mandorla at the center of the miniature, flanked by the four living creatures and what the text describes as "many crowds like a large voice, saying alleluia." The twenty-four elders kneel below in adoration, above the harlot of Babylon, the beautiful woman laid out at the bottom of the image. According to the text, after her destruction, "her smoke will ascend for ever and ever." (Apocalypse 19:3)
